Also be sure to see the Livorno website (check out the supporters photo section!)

... i think there is a misspelling in the Banner it's "Gott mit uns!" and not "Got mit uns!". Maybe that shows how stupid they are ...

"gott mit uns" would be correct, but i have never heard that nazis used stuff like that. the uses always stuff about honor and strength and shit... but god? in austria there were the austrofascist in 1934 when the nsdap was forbidden. they were very catholic, not like the nazis.. anyway: strange fascistic idiots

The odd thing about this is that AS Roma have traditionally been a very left-wing club. Most of their fans still are.

They had been associated with Roma's Jewish community until wwII. Lazio, who share the same stadium, were Mussolini's team. His bust remains on the outside of the stadium, and THOUSANDS of nazis show up at every Lazio match with full regalia.

This group of Roma supporters (ASR Ultras) started up less than ten years ago that was overly neo-nazi, and are hated by most Roma fans (for example the far left 'Fedayn' group). You'll have to ask the Italians where the hell these deviants came from, and why they haven't been crushed, but fights abound. Roma is one of the biggest teams in Italy, and Italy has a tradition of big teams drawing fans from outside their region, something very unlike most footballing cultures. This may explain it.

Livorno are the home of the Communist party, and remain a very left wing city. They're a small club, just recently promoted from the lower divisions. Livorno are also one of the few clubs that has NO apolitical fan groups: They're ALL leftist. Most lefty supporters are mixtures of ideology, with anarchists playing a big part. Livorno fans hold picture of Stalin!

So you can imagine that when they're had to play Lazio for the first time regularly this year it's been WWIII.

Thanks to everyone who's posted on this. Particularly Tommy NYC whose backgrounder is helpful for people, like myself, who don't know much about the clubs supporters.

If anyone has other "riot" photos from this match please post the links here. The one pic of the fascist banners and the Liverno supporter getting attacked by the cops is enough though.

No Pasaran!

@tommy nyc: thats the past, how can you tell things like "most of as roma fans are still left winged". thats stupid nonsense. two years ago local fascists took the leadership of the roma boys (the most important asr ultra group) and made the curva to a fascist propaganda circus. most of the roma fans support them, there is only one very small asr ultra group called "ultra san lorenzo" left winged members belong to.

"Gott mit uns" was a slogan on a belts of nazy soldiers. Nazis had a connection with a churche, but after the war some of people tried to make that forgoten. In some cases, they made it.

Let's put aside the garish tourist trap decor for one moment...
This "fine" Thai bistro is now offering the entertainment of pop-locking roaches on the tables while you wait for your meal. Word up!

But seriously folks... I sat down at 7:30 this past Friday only to be greeted by goddamn cockroaches scurrying across my table. Absolutely vile.
