"Police flee to station during riot
Police were forced to flee the scene of a riot at an Indigenous community on Cape York last night.
Dozens of people took to the streets of Lockhart River at around 8.30pm AEST armed with star pickets, baseball bats, timber and steel poles.
Senior Constable Janine Stanley from Cairns police says officers withdrew to a police station after a police car was damaged.
"A large number of people in the community were involved and they had armed themselves with weapons including baseball bats, steel poles," she said.
"Police attended and the situation did calm down, some weapons were surrendered, a bit of damage was done to one of the police vehicles, police withdrew from the situation and have been attending to the community since then."

the blog is called riot porn, the us punk concert aftermath looks pretty much like a riot to me.
Thus falling under the category "Riot".. I too really, REALLY miss seeing a "political"/resistance riot in america, it is needed there more than anywhere else, but nowhere on this site is there a dogma stated that would exlude the punk concert kids and their shananigans.
